Benefit stay dont stray

This is by far the best Eye shadow / Concealer primer I have ever used. It locked down everything thing you put on it, what’s not to love???

Benefit stay Don’t Stray is a truly fabulous stuff seriously. I’m all about under eye concealer and I love that this makes my concealer last so much longer and it prevents it from settling into fine lines around the eyes.  It’s flesh-toned and evens out skin tone, it also gives my concealer a bit more concealing power.
For shadows, it definitely prevents them from fading away, keeps creasing at bay, and colors show up with more intensity.

It also has skin care benefits ( can you believe it?) because It’s made with vitamins C and E to prevent the signs of aging and sodium hyaluronate to hydrate skin. It doesn’t have parabens and stays fresh in an airless pump, which prevents fingers from contaminating the product and spreading bacteria. The only cons about it is that the pump at the top of the bottle can get dirty easily as you can see from the photo. So sorry I should have at least cleaned it up.
Its available in Boots for £20.50, quite pricey but well worth it and you wouldn't regret it

Flower power

Check out this contrast shirt dress from Topshop and the lovely flower embellished necklace. This is an absolute great dress for wandering around in the summer sun. I almost bought them last night when I browse through the Topshop website but I wasn't completely convinced. I woke up this morning feeling really cool and excited, rush to my computer so I can buy the necklace but unfortunately it was sold out...How so???
I am unhappy I missed out on this one, would have be a great buy I swear. The dress is still available thou, its £65.00 while the lovely flower necklace was £22.50

Royal nail polish

One of my favourite nail brand Essie is launching their own little bundle of joy for the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and Williams for the arrival of their baby in July.
The limited edition nail polish will be called Baby duo kit and will contain two colours, a pastel blue and a warm toned pastel pink. Its due to hit store on June 12 and will be available at Boots. I will definitely be joining in the Royal baby celebration with this one, love the colour combo!

DIY face Mask

YOU NEED

·         Oats

·         Yogurt

·         Honey

Mix 1/2 cup oats, 1/2cup yogurt and a Tbsp of honey in a bowl

Lather unto entire face

Chop two slices of cucumber and rest them on your tired eyes

Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off

As much as I love my high quality products, I don't always love paying so much for them. Especially now that I am getting more clients with different colours and skin tone and I have to replenish my collection to suit them, it can get expensive!

My now foundation

 

This is what my face looks like after applying my foundation. I like to use very thin light foundation for my face because I have oily skin and try to avoid causing myself pores and acnes with very heavy foundation especially in summer.
I used the following to achieve this finish

• Loreal lumi primer                           
• Ysl touché éclat foundation
• Ysl touché éclat concealer pen
• Ysl rouge pur couture lipstick in Rose de saba

So sorry u can't see my lipstick, was in a hurry to take the pics before I forget the whole idea...silly me

 



DIY teeth whitening

A few readers have asked me if I really do the things I put up on this blog, the answer is YES, I do.

All the DIY's post I write about are actually beauty process I do myself at home (I just love to look after myself a lot, from head to toe he he he). I share it with you guys because it's Easy, Simple, Cheap and most of all you can do it yourself without the help of any specialist.
Today's diy is teeth whitening and here's how to go about it.

YOU NEED

·         A couple of strawberries
·         Baking soda
·         Regular toothpaste, I use aquafresh

Mash up strawberries with a small amount of baking soda

Apply to the teeth with your toothbrush and leave it for five minutes

Brush with regular toothpaste

Concealers & Correctors

Most people ask me what is a corrector?
Correctors are what you used for extreme under eye darkness and circles. When a regular concealer cannot fully lighten the under eye area, a peach or pink corrector is used to fill the purple or green tones under your eyes. This is simply applied underneath a regular, yellow toned concealer.

Pink corrector is used for lighter skin tones, while shades of peach are available for tan and dark skin. A corrector is different from concealer and both work differently. Its always better to buy a corrector palette with different shades as it's easier to select different colour as suppose to corrector with just one shade/cover.

YSL touche eclat

So i was at the mall today and as usual I went into Debenhams to check out their makeup and bumped into the YSL counter, I went round their products and I asked the sales assistant to try on the Touché Eclat foundation on my face ( have heard a lot about it). Once she finished applying a tiny bit, I fell in love, It was flawless. It was lightweight and blended into my skin giving it room to breath, it practically looked like my own skin...even better

I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and illuminated my face looked, my hubby loved it on me sef. It is a light to medium coverage so if you like full coverage, this is not for you althou it's buildable and I also like how the shades are in three categories- pink, beige and yellow skin tones.  I think it’s great for those of us who don't exactly fit into either of MAC's NW or NC ranges. It retails for £29. I didn’t buy it but I will be including it in my TO BUY LIST for sure. My beautiful ladies has anyone tried this foundation before???

I just saw the great Gatsby movie, Has anyone else seen it? It’s the movie of the moment and has pulled in millions of dollars at the box office and the movie kicked off the start of the Cannes film festival.

All the CGI-assisted, 3-D sparkle is a wonder to behold and the old Hollywood glamour continuously showcased its glitz, I enjoyed it. It features Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan and its From Baz Luhrmann, the director of Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge.

Super soft feet

This is a simple trick I do to my feet to keep them super soft and smooth from cracks and scales. Use these products three times a week and your feet will be soft like a baby’s bottom just in time for summer ready to rock all your lovely Sandals.

Here is the simple process with four simple products u will need

Any hair conditioner product

Gel lined sock

Pumice stone aka black stone

Vaseline

After you shower, use hair conditioner to wash your feet then rub your feet with a pumice stone, wipe it off, put Vaseline on your feet and put on some socks. That simple!
I do this 3x a week to my feet and I also really like the gel-lined socks, they are Amazing. You can get them at John Lewis for £36.80 quite expensive but well worth it or at Ebay for £8 for the half pair.

 

12 steps to love

5. Now disappear- Spend time with your family and friends, do fun things you love yourself and allow him do same. This is cool as it'll give you a greater sense of control of your own emotions, and help to heighten his.

I notice that most of us hardly replace our makeup except  it runs out, however long that might take.

We forget that beauty product have a shelf life just like what we eat, this therefore causes a lot of risk to our faces and bodies giving us disfiguring skin reactions, breakouts and complexion complaints when we continue to still use them after that date.

And even those of us that know our beauty products have life span, we shockingly still keep the product well past their use by dates…. Why???

Many of us don’t want to waste the product or can’t afford a new one or some of us just think the use by date is another marketing poly to get us buying.
